Paul E. Bryant – Director of Instrumental Music

Mr. Bryant was born and raised in Cocoa, FL and is a graduate of Rockledge High School. He obtained his BA in Music Education from the University of Central Florida.  He has returned to his alma mater high school to be the band director, a position he has held since Fall 2007.

In his first year of teaching, Paul E. Bryant received the Tom Bishop Award for his outstanding work as director and for his hand in turning around the entire band program in less than a year. He strives to not only teach each student to be good musicians but to be respectful and to get a good education.

His favorite quote is “Hard Work Beats Talent, When Talent Fails To Work Hard.”



Mr. Kyle Crosswell - Fine Arts Consultant

Mr. Crosswell is in his last semester at The University of Central Florida. Once he graduates he hope to teach middle school band in Brevard County. Mr. Crosswell has worked with many different groups over Brevard County.

Besides working with Rockledge Raider Regiment, Mr. Crosswell works with the theater department as their technical director. Mr. Crosswell has been working with the band for the last 3 years. Outside of teaching Mr. Crosswell enjoys golfing, fishing and working with different community theaters.

 


Bobbe Jo Butler – String Consultant

Bobbe Jo (BJ) has been playing the cello for 18 years, beginning her musical studies at age eight with the piano, and continuing with the cello at age 11.  She had the privilege of attending the University of Cincinnati Conservatory of Music where she studied with Lee Fiser, a student of the prominent cellist Lynn Harrell.  BJ graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and a Minor in Cello Performance.





 


Mrs. Joanne Dodge – Color Guard Director

Mrs. Joanne Dodge is originally from the Boston, Massachusetts’s area where she was a performing member and Program Designer of the Sacred Heart Color guard Programs of Roslindale for over 20 years.  During her tenure at Sacred Heart, the guards received numerous Championship Titles as well as becoming Bronze and Gold Medallists at Winterguard International World Championships.

Mrs. Dodge spent 4 years as President of the Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit and is currently a member of the Florida Bandmasters Auxiliary Committee where she helped develop the adjudication training components for certification of judges for FBA events. Her extensive experience makes her a much sought after auxiliary adjudicator for many organizations/events.
